Our Green Philosophy

It’s not just what we do, but why and how we carry out what we believe.

Commitment to promoting sustainability and concern for the environment are integral to our professional activities and the management of the organisation. It’s written in our company mission “nurturing the built environment for nature, with passion and technology… and… greening our world, one wall at a time!”

Our Principles:
•  To comply with, and exceed where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
•  To integrate sustainability considerables into all our business decisions.
•  To ensure that all staff are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it.
•  To minimise the impact on sustainability of all office and transportation activities.
•  To make clients and suppliers aware of our Sustainability Policy, and encourage them to adopt sound sustainable management practices.
•  To review, annually report, and to continually strive to improve our sustainability performance.

No Greenwashing— Our Practices:

In product design our philosophy is simple; we design and create sustainable living systems. That means building our green walls for urban eco systems to remain productive and flourish, over time. We’ve carefully researched plant species and substrates to develop proprietary products with GNanoFibreTM and GMatrixT”, reducing plant mortality and replacement rates (we abhor that buy-and-throw-away mentality!). We ensure resource conservation using recyclable materials and keeping our systems no-frills, fuss-free, water and energy-efficient for a low carbon footprint. GVG — lowest water consumption in the world at only 0.2L/m2.

Reduce raw material wastage with accurate production forecasting and inventory management, scrap material to be reused and repurposed wherever possible. Pots, media, waste material including paper and other office consumables, computer supplies and redundant equipment to be resold and/or recycled, properly disposed of.

Minimize our use of paper and other office consumables, for example by double-siding all paper used, and identifying opportunities to reduce waste.

Digitize and archive documents electronically to go paperless, as part of our eDocumentation initiative. All invoices, delivery orders, purchase orders. Quotations etc are sent in soft copies via email as a standard procedure unless specifically requested for in hard copy by the client.

Undertake voluntary work with the local community and/or environmental organizations and make relevant donations to seek to offset carbon emissions from our activities.

Horticulture Therapy

We’re firm believers in the healing power of nature and plants. Contact with greenery has been proven to improve health, convalescence, wellbeing and productivity; and our chosen causes reflect our belief We are a keen supporter of the Yellow Ribbon Project and have been working with Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises’ (SCORE) since our inception-to employ ex-offenders in our bid to help them reintegrate into society, and pick up lifelong skills. We’ve also worked with SAMH (Singapore Association of Mental Health), exploring ways in which horticulture can help in rehabilitation and empowering their rehabilitated clients with purposeful employment with a goal to independent living.
