The PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay is an eye-opening transformation of the old Marina Mandarin hotel into a “garden-in-a-hotel” concept where diverse greenery is used to create an urban jungle sanctuary in the CBD. Greenology was tasked with creating a modern and artistic interpretation of a cliff face as the centrepiece for their reception area. We successfully created an 18 metre tall living green wall in a record time of 1 month, while the hotel was fully in operation!
Guests are greeted by this stunning foliage-covered backdrop which acts as a natural air-filtration system, while also helping to reduce ambient noise from the bustling traffic around the hotel. This dreamy vertical garden is topped by moss art that mimics clouds, while slender fins resemble soaring tree trunks. We developed and devised innovative ways to ensure the sustainability of an interesting mix of plants, through the use of our customised Greenology Vertical Greenery system, coupled with an integrated irrigation and fertigation system.
